Mission Statement

The Catholic Center at the University of Georgia is a Eucharistic Community that seeks to live the gospel of Jesus Christ, in the tradition of our Roman Catholic faith and the spirit of St. Francis.  All are welcome at the Catholic Center.

  1. As Christian disciples, we are charged to answer Christ’s call for compassion by becoming instruments of peace, charity and justice.

  2. We are a prayerful and collaborative community that promotes ongoing formation.

  3. We stand in solidarity with all peoples, especially the poor, the stranger and the alienated, locally and globally.

  4. We endeavor to respect a universe created by God in love.

Director’s message

On behalf of the entire staff and the long standing members of the Catholic Center faith community, I want to welcome one and all to the Catholic Center’s 2012-2013 school year.  I want to particularly welcome those who will be arriving to the Catholic Center for the first time.  I hope that you will find our tradition of hospitality to be real for you.

                Peace and all good,

                Fr. Tom, ofm
